Lilypie Kids Birthday tickers

It's a GIRL!...and Another GIRL!!!

It was just about three years ago when we had our ~18-week ultrasound. We were so thankful it showed two healthy babies...and we were so excited to know those babies were both girls!

(We didn't care one way or the other about the genders, but it was nice to begin to visualize proverbial "pink" or "blue".)

I hadn't bought many baby things up to that point. It's like I was afraid to jinx anything with my thought process. I didn't want to allow myself to believe it was really true...we were having babies! Two of them!!!

But a couple of days after that incredible ultrasound, I had to travel for business. I had a little bit of extra time, and there just happened to be a nice outlet mall nearby. I tentatively went into the Carter's outlet. I looked around, and around, and around, amazed at the selection.

I finally allowed myself to buy the first two articles of little girl clothing...the softest velour dresses in coordinating pink / blue and brown...

When I got home from my trip, I hung the dresses in my bathroom so I could look at them every morning and every evening...a precious reminder that my dreams were really coming true.

I'm linking up with the sweet Cheryl at Twinfatuation for Way Back Whenesday. This picture was taken when the girls were about 7 weeks old, Baby A on the left, and B on the right.

I LOVE when my friends post old pictures! They were so tiny and cute... hard to believe your articulate, funny 'big' girls were ever that small, huh?

Awww, I love it!! We had one of the blue/brown outfits in a bigger size. A and M wore it a few times last year.

It was three years ago this month that we found out we were expecting twins. : )

too cute...I love that you had them hanging in your bathroom so you could see them every morning! ;)

I use to go sit in the Nursery and daydream of my life to come...

How very sweet!! I love seeing itty bitty baby pictures!

I was so terrified to buy any baby stuff too. In fact, I was afraid to buy any maternity stuff for a long time. Pretty much until I was forced to.

We don't have a Carter's outlet (that I know of) around here, but my sister does--she showers our girls with lots of things from that store! The selection must be amazing!

Probably a good thing I didn't go in there when I was pregnant. All the choices at Babies R Us nearly gave me a panic attack! Ha! :)

So cute! The outfits and the babies-- I can't get over all over baby A's hair!)!

I was afraid to buy things for a long time also (even with Will who was in no way high-risk), so those first items I bought will always be extra-special. Dreams do come true!

awww!!! I remember being so excited to buy gender specific clothes once we knew we were having a boy and a girl! We had so much yellow, green and cream before that!!
