A friend of mine from high school just had the sweetest twin baby girls (new lil' sissies to her older daughter, who is about the same age as A&B).
It's been so much fun to follow her pregnancy journey, and now see pictures and hear the first few anecdotes since the babies came home last week.
Seeing those teeny tiny fingers and toes was a sweet reminder of a couple of my favorite pictures from when our girls came home from the hospital.
I love this one as we were packing to take the girls home. You can see the pride in our faces (and maybe a little bit of fear, too!)...
And this is one of the first couple of pictures taken of the girls at home. I just remember a very overwhelming feeling of belonging...for us and for them. They were together at last, in their own little bed...side by side.
[I popped over to link up with Cheryl at Twinfatuation for "Way Back When-esday". I knew she'd had some storm damage, but the picture of the damage to her house is unbelieveable. Cheryl, we're so glad you and your family are OK...you're in our thoughts!]

Awww...I love the picture of them side by side in the crib.
I sold a bunch of baby clothes the other day to a woman who is pregnant with twins. I got so nostalgic just looking at those tiny onesies that once looked so big on them!
It's so hard to believe they were ever that small eh? I always get "baby-fever" when a friend is having a baby but I take a dose of "reality" and it soon passes...LOL!
Happy Wednesday!
Love these pics!! So darn sweet!! Your friends babies are sweet too! I had to click over to see for myself!
I was shocked when Cheryl posted that pic of her house the other day!! I too am very glad they are fine!
ps- I am not saying this to rub it in because you already know, but google reader is still not linking your posts. :( At one point it started to do so, but then stopped again. Not a big deal I know where to find you, but thought I would let you know.
Brand new twinnies! congratulations to them
Aw- what sweet photos! I love looking back at photos of my two when they were newborns. So many photos of sweet, little, angelic faces fast asleep in their crib. I miss snuggling with them and that sweet baby smell they used to have, but I'm glad to be past that completely exhausting first year. Yes, we now face new challenges, but I am so loving watching them grow and learn new things. :o)
Looks like you need another set of twins! LOL
