...check out my guest post today at Mommy Monologues!
And while you're there, check out my friend Kate. She's a fantastic writer and an awesome mom to 20-month old Lboy. She writes about motherhood, yes, and also some pretty inspiring stuff about life's lessons, big and small. And she's funny, to boot. Oh, and I can't forget to mention her pampered pint-sized pooch, Giorgio! :)

Loved it! I actually loved that show at one time! Crazy what fame can do to someone! Hope you day is going well!
Great post! After watching the episode where they sing Happy Birthday to each child, I implemented that , too.
Checked it out! Loved it! You rock!
Thank you Mandy!!!!!!
great post!!! I used to watch J&K+8 but no more...when they fell apart, I stopped. But yeah - I commented on the other post about the perspective thing.
I cracked up about your comment about the mirror and hair. ha!
What a fantastic post. I really enjoyed it - I wished I had thought to write it x
I didn't even know the J&K+8 show existed until I became pregnant with twins and everyone started asking me if I watched it. T and I watched a few episodes when our guys were just a few months old, and I felt there was a lot of good parenting going on there. T didn't like all the product placement and focus on freebie services and vacations, so he refused to watch more, but I became intrigued and used Nexflix to go back and start fresh with season one. There are a lot of things that one could nitpick about with Jon and Kate, but there was definitely some good stuff going on as well. And I did feel like I learned some things here and there that made me see parenting my twins a little differently. However, I could once the news came out that they were splitting, I couldn't bring myself to watch anymore episodes. Ironically enough, the last episode I saw was the one where they all went to Hawaii so J&K could renew their vows. What happened to that family is just so sad. And worse that some of it was not only captured on film, but put out for everyone to see (I blame J&K as well as TLC for that). But still, there are moments when I think something or I go to do something (the good kind of something), and I remember that I saw the same thing on J&K+8.
Me and W were obsessed with that show, we loved it. Things did get so weird, and it made me sad. We watched it from day one, and the people at the end of the show were not those people we fell in love with in the beginning. So sad.
Great post!
