The first thing Baby A said when I went into their room this morning was, "Am I going to school today???"
The girls were super excited to start their big day.
After a special French toast breakfast with a single candle to make a wish for a great school year...
...the girls eagerly got dressed, and were even somewhat compliant in posing for a picture on the front steps.
And here they were, galloping down the sidewalk, walking towards their school.
Drop-off went well...a quick hug and kiss and "Have a great day!" and they were in their classroom...although this mama sure did feel empty-handed walking back down that hallway.
I can't wait to see them at noon and hear all about their morning!!!

So happy to hear it went well. I know they will be bursting to tell you all about their adventures when they return! Big hugs sent to you, sweet friend!
I can't wait to hear.
Can't wait to hear all about their day--and yours!
Aww such cute pics! They look so excited! Hope they had a great day!
you are brave to let them loose on that gorgeous dining-room table. Mine are banished to the kitchen :)
I love the little flowers on their tops - so cute!!!!
Q - what did you get up to while the girls were at school?
PS D and I chatted more about pre-school. Do you know what he says? I'm the only one who has a problem with them going full day - they'll be "fine". I was horrified. They are my BABIES! :)
Yay! That middle picture made my heart melt. I am sure the girls did great. The big question is... How did YOU do? Mine start on the 28th and I'm simultaneously excited and distraught.
So cute!! What a BIG step for them, and you!! So glad drop off went so well the first day...some reassurance for you that they will be just fine! :-)
Happy girls... I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone so excited to go to school. All your preparation definitely made a big difference. At least you didn't have to deal with crying babies (ok I know they are not babies in the real sense but you get what I mean) at drop off.
Hope mommy didn't shed a tear or two?.
Can't wait to read about their experiences at school.
And how was it for you?
:) you've done a great job. look how well adjusted they are. and they will love school, and then they'll love their time with you even more.
xx
Mandy, so sorry I haven't been more present during this HUGE transition in your family! Oh my goodness, that picture of A&B walking hand in hand with their Dr. Seuss bags (we have the same ones :)) is just absolutely precious!
I'm so delighted to hear that your sweet girls have adjusted so well to preschool! I'm sure it's amazing to hear and see the pure joy on their faces as they eagerly share all they've learned at school. What a gift to watch them soak in all these new experiences!
And what are you doing while they're at school? I have visions of an extra large cup of coffee with yummy cream and a good book. I hope it's something like that (at least some of the time :)).
