Over the past week, the girls have made a couple of observations about their dear ol’ mama that have been less-than-subtle.
Certainly I appreciate their attention to detail, and their interest in my every nook and cranny…but geez, girls, cut your mama a little slack!
I had on my first pair of shorts for this spring. Baby B was checking them out, along with every bump and bruise and freckle on my legs. She made her way to my knees and said, “Mommy knee have crumbs!” I’m pretty sure she was telling me I needed to shave!
A day or so later, Baby A was crawling on top of me on the couch. She reached down my v-neck t-shirt to inspect my bra. “It’s fluffy,” she declared. Why yes, honey, Mommy’s bra is “fluffy”. Thank you for noticing.
Of course I couldn’t help but laugh…although there may have been a tiny little piece of me that wanted to cry, knowing I have years of brutal honesty ahead of me.
Oh, well, the girls’ new phrase, “Mommy cute!” every time they see me in a change of clothes will cure a world of hurt for a long time.

Ha ha ha...knee crumbs? That's hilarious! Oh, the joys of toddlers who announce their every thought to the world. My two love to announce every "toot"...can't wait til that happens in a crowded restaurant! Or church, more likely...
Too cute!!!! I guess if we ever need the honest truth we can ask our kids! Thanks for giving me a giggle! Happy Wednesday! Take care!
Two year olds say the funniest and most honest things! So cute! Happy to be your newest follower from http://thelittlelilypad.blogspot.com
Crumbs? Fluffy? ha! I am sure Adam will notice some of my 'battle scars' this summer including the long scar on my knee from surgery. I once had a student freak out that I had a "caterpillar' on my leg! ha!
Sarah's taken a sudden interest in my undergarments. she wanted to shop for bras and underwear the other day b/c she said the ones I wear aren't as pretty as the ones in the store. ha! Guess I need to use that Victoria's Secret Gift Card I still have...
April is Autism Awareness Month. I'm dedicating my blog to Autism all month long.
How adorable... kids are certainly honest if nothing else.
Aww. I'm now missing those days with my twins. They've moved on to only complimenting me when they want something...smart little buggers.
At least they didn't say your thighs have cottage cheese! That would be BAD!!!
I love when the Crazies say I'm pretty...love it!
