Fab 5 Friday

Another fabulous week at A & B Enterprises!

1) On Saturday we went to Panera for a mid-morning bagel and coffee for the hubs and me (and a snack for the girlies), and then ran a couple of errands. It was so nice to be out and about as a family of four…and we didn’t even use a stroller! The girls and I walked hand-in-hand while Daddy pushed the cart through Target and Sam’s. It was quite a work-out for me, but it was so cool to walk around with my “big” girls.

2) Baby A is beginning to take her animal noises very seriously. In particular, when she meows like a cat, she closes her eyes and shakes her head emphatically.

3) Baby B is becoming a tattle tale. I know it won’t always be so cute, but I can’t help but smile when Baby A drops some food and B says, “Sissy…not nice!”

4) Baby A has become very proficient at performing all the motions to “The Itsy Bitsy Spider”, and Baby B loves to shout, “No more!” during the chorus of “…no more monkeys jumping on the bed” (said the good doctor).

5) It’s so much fun to read books with the girls these days. There are 20 or so that we read on a very regular basis, and I can pause at any given time for them to fill in the blank for the next word. Wow!

The girls literally learn something new and fabulous If I weren’t seeing it with my own eyes, I just don’t think I’d believe it.

Sounds like a great week! I love that I can let my girls walk sometimes now too. It feels so much more free...and they sure love it. They did, however, sit down in the middle of Costco yesterday and refuse to take another step. (They went back in the cart after that!) (But it was kinda funny) : )

Wow, that is awesome they did so well walking and holding your hand through 2 stores. I am trying to picture the 4 of us doing that and all I can picture is a major meltdown! Probably by all 4 of us! Molly wouldn't want to hold my hand. She is getting to that age of wanting to do everything on her own. Luke would want to touch and break everything in sight! All the time I see Mothers in public with their kids that follow them without bothering anyone or anything around them and I think to myself "How in the world did they get them to do that?". So well behaved. Just like your sweet little girls! So jealous! Maybe it is the terrible twos! Have a great weekend!

Things are moving right along at your place! Go A&B! My bubs would love to be able to go without a pram, but I am not ready yet. Not with the other two as well. And the Geege at work so often. It would be a disaster!

I must find more time to read to the babies (they end up listening to the stories I read to the boys and they are way too old for them). And nursery rhymes! Thank God for their one day at daycare. They get to explore so much there (takes the pressure off this overstretched Mum a bit?)

Sounds like another great one, of course! Doesn't it feel so great to be able to ditch the stroller(s) every now and then? I'm looking forward to the day when we can say good-bye to ours for good. I have a feeling it's not too far off, but we're not there quite yet.
