Shouldn't There Be an Age Limit for Strippers???

I have found myself stepping back over the last couple of months, reflecting on how well our girls are doing. In particular, there are some once-upon-a-time, make-me-pull-my-hair-out habits that thankfully seem to be distant memories…

The girls are pretty clean at the table. They still wear bibs, but my blood pressure doesn’t elevate at the thought of them eating avocado in a nice shirt.

Although they’re still not great about keeping hair bows in, the girls rarely touch their hands to their hair while they’re eating. I haven’t had to scrub tomato sauce out of their golden locks in quite a while.

The thrill of standing on the couch to turn the light on and off, on and off has seemed to wane. It’s almost as if the girls have forgotten about the light switch, which is just fine by me.

Similarly, it’s been weeks since the girls tried to wedge behind the entertainment center, where I always feared they would disconnect all the electronic equipment, and – in the process – shock themselves into having curly hair.

…and – had I written this post a week ago, as I had originally intended – I would have remarked proudly that the girls have been keeping on their clothes, even socks(!!!), like such big girls…

…but alas, I am too late in staking that claim.

The girls sometimes have an uncanny ability to read my mind, and they must have decided to trip me up a little bit, to remind me who’s the boss (and it’s not ME!).

I really thought we were past the stripper phase. I had hoped that I could release the girls from their onesie confinements with their spring wardrobe, confident that they would keep their pants on…

…but it seems we’re not quite there, after all.

While I most certainly think there should be an age limit for strippers, I’ll just take some deep breaths, confident that this, too, shall pass…again

Oh yes, I do remember them going to time out for stripping :)

K has started taking off her babygrow (onesie) at night - I am not impressed!!! We now put vests and babygrows on her.

Awesome! I bet you will get some crazy searches that will land people at your blog. You'll have to share some of them!!

My girls are just about a year yonger than yours---this is good! I see where we might be at in a year's time. Sounds like it's going to be interesting! :)

Gotta love the stripping days!! Not! Molly never did it, but Luke on the other hand is another story! He still occasional will remove his pants and walk into the room like it is nothing! Like you said it will pass.

I hope it's just a phase, too. I only have one stripper. If I put socks and shoes on him, they come off. In the house, in the car, in the store. ...and I won't go into detail, but if there is no onesie on him, then it just gets ugly. Apparently, the cold Buffalo winters don't seem to bother him. Perhaps it's time to pull out the baby Snuggies to ensure that our babes are covered and kept warm!

Knock on laptop, we rarely strip. At most they will get an arm out of the pajamas at night. They love to lift their shirts and show their bellies. I think allowing them to help undress and dress themselves calmed their stripping inclinations.

If I wake up to naked babies though, I'll be blaming your bad juju!

Lboy hasn't started stripping yet, I keep waiting for it. But if I haven't gotten him in anything except a diaper, that diaper comes off fast!

No stripping at night - thank God! Daytime is another story - of course if one takes them off the other has to follow - it's one of those laws of twins.

Haha...I thought you were going to talk about strippers that were too old!

They still wear bibs? I had to give them up EARLY as the Crazies tried to choke themselves...they're nuts!

At least spring and summer are on their way (or perhaps already have arrived down where you are). Maybe having less clothing or shorter clothing will make a difference?
