A Bit About Me, March Edition

My birthday is February 23, and on the 23rd of each month I’ve taken to sharing a couple of random snippets about myself.

Since I’m on a “beauty” kick, I thought I’d include a couple of physical things about myself for March…

15) I’m 5’2” tall. I reached my full height in fifth or sixth grade, which at the time was pretty tall in comparison to my classmates. Little did I know I should have relished that feeling! I actually don’t “mind” being short…it is what it is, of course. And at least my climbing skills are good – I have no shame in scaling a couple of shelves at the grocery store to reach an item.

16) I’ve never colored my hair. There have been times I would have liked to have some highlights, or even some chunky streaks, but I didn’t want to start something before I “needed” to. I’ll most likely color my hair when those grays become more prominent, and I know I’ll be spending plenty of time and money in the salon chair for that, so I thought I’d save myself the trouble while I can!

I don't think I knew that we are the same height. You look taller than that in the photos you post (so, obviously, a very confident 5'2"!). :o)

I'm 5'2" as well and have never had to color my hair (yet!). I saw my first grays either while pregnant or shortly after the kids were born. They don't bother me too much, except that they don't curl as tightly as my natural browns (I've been meaning to ask the woman who cuts my hair if that's normal or not), and that can be annoying as it makes them stand out a bit more.

HA! I'm 5'2" TOO! I also married a 6'2" man and we are quiet the sight sometimes, nothing like talking face to face with man boob!

After my first and only bad dye job I gave up. I shaved my head and called it a day. Too much effort. By the way, I totally loved having my head shaved!

Me too, and me too! I agree with reanbean's comment...you look taller in your pictures. I always think about coloring my hair, especially in the winter...I love the deep, dark brunette that my sister's hair is, but I'm afraid if I start I will have to keep it up!

Have I ever said that I'm 6'1"? I'm almost a whole foot taller! ha!

I have colored my hair for quite a while - I used to just do blond highlights but I've gotten braver and have done a variety of things (nothing too drastic) including red and purple highlights and all around brown color. My 'normal' hair isn't quite blond but not a nice brown either...kind of a dirty light brown - and now mixed with gray. I like the fun of changing it up each season and its one of the few things I routinely do for myself...

I thought you were taller too! It is funny how you can never really judge from pictures! I am 5'4", so not much taller! :)

I have never colored my hair either! I always say a am a hair virgin! So hard to come by! lol! ;-)

So many short bloggers! 5'2" huh? You must have been as wide are you are high when you were pregnant with the girls!

I used to use highlights in my hair, before the children when I had more disposable income. Now I am getting my own 'grey' highlights - not as nice as the blonde but you have to deal with the hand you are given huh?

Lovely to learn more about you, shortie :)

I'm short too and am practically an expert at trying to get things off high shelves at the supermarket!

I've colored my hair for years, but now it's more of a need than a want (who am I kidding? I want to be blonder!!!). My grays are outta control...
