They are so easily influenced at that age.

Although mine only have an Australian accent in their home (both the Geege and I are Aussie born and bred), my eldest boy sounded like Dora the Explorer with her 'cant' instead of our 'carnt' for awhile.

And then Doo Dah has a penchant for Ben 10's 'oh man!.

You just do not know how they are going to turn out. I look forward to hearing more about Baby A and B's language journey.MultipleMumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00621170366257326241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8596567296179908968.post-81005304967597609032010-10-17T22:04:56.584-05:002010-10-17T22:04:56.584-05:00A & M are definitely my little southern belles...A & M are definitely my little southern belles. Mackenzie says 'paeee-peee' for pee-pee and has a very long heeeeeeyyyyy. Oh, and her grandmother is 'NiNi' which comes out all sorts of drawled out.

I'm with Marcia...we should do video clips to see how everyone talks! I'd love to hear her SA accent!Deannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11371310465607810535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8596567296179908968.post-39195741501449789862010-10-17T20:33:50.017-05:002010-10-17T20:33:50.017-05:00I'm anxious just to get the girls talking! I very much hope the girls do not pick up my "wuter"'s, "warsher"'s and "Hon's"!!Mandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13336283103973967252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8596567296179908968.post-189854605323107902010-10-17T19:31:21.506-05:002010-10-17T19:31:21.506-05:00My step-brother grew up in Alabama and has a deep ...My step-brother grew up in Alabama and has a deep southern accent. His wife grew up on Long Island in NY, and they're raising their daughter in Virginia. She had some pretty interesting pronunciations when she was little, but now (at age 12) she sounds like someone with just a very mild southern accent.

Tiny used to say "day-uh-dee" for daddy and "mommay" for mommy, but now is clearly saying mommy and daddy the way my midwestern ears are used to hearing them. My BIL has a bit of a Boston accent, and I wonder if my kids will pick up a bit of that accent since we're not that far outside of the city. I suppose only time will tell.reanbeanhttp://www.reanbean.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8596567296179908968.post-86648059336394800062010-10-17T17:13:15.571-05:002010-10-17T17:13:15.571-05:00One of my daughters for the last year has exhibite...One of my daughters for the last year has exhibited an East coast/Boston accent ("Kaw-fee," etc). Hubby and I are from the midwest, my girls have only lived in the midwest and the west. Where she picked this up I have no idea. Our speech therapist insists this is fairly common in preschoolers and usually disappears by age 6... but for now it's pretty funny.Quadmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12811147214370454309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8596567296179908968.post-11239002719818780932010-10-17T12:22:12.887-05:002010-10-17T12:22:12.887-05:00Oh, I love different accents.

I'm only half joking!Marcia (123 blog)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15581613927187600748noreply@blogger.com
